Four years after the release of Stakes is High, De La Soul announced they would be releasing a triple album series titled Art Official Intelligence (AOI).  On August 8, 2000 De La Soul released their 5th studio album Art Official Intelligence: Mosaic Thump featuring guest verses from Redman, Tash and J-Ro of Tha Liks, Xzibit, Busta Rhymes, Mike D and Ad Rock of the Beastie Boys, Busy Bee, Freddie Foxxx and Chaka Khan with most of the production being handled by the group themselves along with Supa Dave West, Jay Dee and Rockwilder.  

Mosaic Thump returned De La Soul to chart territory again thanks to the hit singles "Oooh.", and "All Good?". "Oooh" was nominated for a Source Award and the album was nominated for a Grammy for Best Rap Performance By A Duo or Group.
